Headquartered in Palm Desert, California, STRANDS Hair Color was founded by CEO Mirela Marinescu.

Mirela describes the company’s permanent cream color system as a high-end boutique hair color collection designed to consistently deliver high-end results.

From Italian Color Technology to STRANDS

After discovering established color technology in Italy, Mirela directed her laboratory resources toward adapting it for the American colorist and client.

Over the following years, the formulas were developed according to Mirela’s high standards. As a result, the STRANDS Hair Color Collection was created with Argan Oil and Keratin.

The collection includes two professional color systems:

• REFLEXIONS™, a low-ammonia permanent color line
• COLOR LUST™, an ammonia-free formula

STRANDS was created with the understanding that no single color line is perfect for every stylist.

REFLEXIONS™ Permanent Low-Ammonia offers 33 shades. Meanwhile, COLOR LUST™ is an ammonia-free formula available in 27 shades.
